Our entrance received a facelift with new plants, bushes, and pine straw. We also added an electrical outlet behind our entrance sign so that we can plug in seasonal decorations like Christmas wreaths. Thanks to those neighbors that helped accomplish these projects.
The roads in the neighborhood should have been paved with their topcoat several years ago when the building completion was at 80%. This was never done. So, we have been working for 2 years with J.C. Brown Construction and the Mayor's office to get this project completed. This was necessary to be done so that our neighborhood can be accepted by the city council for maintenance and other city services.
Children are playing in the streets and we must be mindful of their prescence when we drive to and from our homes. As parents, we must also remind our children to look out for traffic and to adhere to playing in yards and on sidewalks. Remember: The speed limit is 25 MPH, so please slow down.
As of now, garbage is collected twice weekly on Monday and Thursday, and residential Trash (limbs, leaves, grass clippings) on Friday. Have garbage out no earlier than 7am on scheduled days. Putting your trash out early is unsightly and attracts wild animals and stray cats. You may have seen the blue trash cans around town. Our neighborhood is still on the waiting list to receive them. More info to come on this later.
